I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that I’m one of the apparently many people who had (for want of a better word) “opinions” at the possibility of Jeremy Renner being gay. In my case however, it was more of a want versus an educated stance on the matter. The man is gorgeous in my eyes. He’s not “classically handsome” like some other Hollywood leading men; but he has this rough-around-the-edges masculinity about him that I just respond to…. in a big, BIG way!
In a recent interview with Playboy, the Avenger addressed the gay rumors:
“When you Google yourself and the first thing that comes up is ‘Jeremy Renner gay,’ it’s like, ‘Oh, now you’ve arrived. You’re now a giant movie star.’ I don’t care, ultimately, if that’s what people want to think, read and care about. F**king say whatever the hell you want about me. Look at where we’re at socially—leaps and bounds ahead of where we started. That’s an amazing thing. To suggest that it’s negative, that being gay is a terrible thing, a perversion or whatever—I just don’t get it. Don’t you wish we were in a world where we’re not shaming, judging and boxing people in?”
Aaaaaand, I’m once again weak in the knees. Hawkeye has shot an arrow straight through my heart.
